About the role:
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their operations team. This critical role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets from various manufacturing sources—including production lines, supply chains, and quality control systems—to drive operational excellence and inform strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and proven experience within a production or industrial environment.
Core Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and transform complex operational data from manufacturing execution systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and IoT sensors.
Develop and execute statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and quality issues.
Create predictive models to support proactive decision-making.
Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for production managers, engineers, and executive leadership.
Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to visualize key manufacturing performance indicators.
Automate recurring reports and ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting mechanisms.
Present findings and insights to stakeholders through clear, compelling data storytelling.
Work closely with production engineers and IT specialists to improve data collection methods and ensure data systems meet analytical requirements.
Participate in process improvement initiatives by providing data-driven evidence to support changes in production processes or equipment upgrades.
Document data sources, analysis methodologies, and reporting standards to ensure consistency and transparency.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role, with direct experience in the manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain sector being highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Expert proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI
Strong competency in using statistical software and programming languages for analysis.
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and core industry metrics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex findings to non-technical audiences.
